The Sehome boys' basketball team received scoring from 11 different players as it beat Lakewood 55-43 in a non-conference game on Monday, Dec. 20, at Lakewood, its fifth win in six games this season.

The Sehome boys' basketball team received scoring from 11 different players as it beat Lakewood 55-43 in a non-conference game on Monday, Dec. 20, at Lakewood, its fifth win in six games this season.
Sehome's leading scorer in the game was John Albert, who had 11 points and eight rebounds, but the Mariners showed off its deep roster, while saving the energy of some of their key players for its game against Nooksack Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21.
"For us, we have Nooksack Valley (today) so we played 13 guys tonight to save our legs," Sehome coach A.J. LaBree said in a phone interview. "It was a great team effort. It was good to see the bench step up and play a big part in this one."
Sehome (5-1, 1-0 NWC) was able to put up 16 more shots than Lakewood (56-40), while going 18-24 from the free-throw line. Lakewood's Tre Haslom had a game-high 17 points, while teammate Dustin Stanton had 15 points and nine rebounds.
