PREP BOYS' BASKETBALL: Stonedahl, Lamositele lift Sehome at Invite
Sports Desk - THE BELLINGHAM HERALD
Danny Stonedahl scored 24 points and Titi Lamositele had 10 to lead the Sehome boys' basketball team to a 67-49 win over Kingston on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the Cloud 9 Sports Invitational at Lynden Christian High School.
After building the first half lead, the Mariners (7-1) used eight straight points from Lamositele in the third quarter to pull away. Lamositele's hot shooting was matched only by Stonedahl who went 9 for 10 from the field during a career night.
"Danny has always been something of a role player for us, but tonight he stepped up and played the way we've always known he was capable of playing," Sehome coach A.J. LaBree said in a phone interview. "We have a lot of players on this team who are capable of big scoring nights and tonight it was Danny's turn."
Sehome continues play at the Cloud 9 Sports Invitational with an 8:30 p.m. game Thursday, Dec. 30 against Arlington at Lynden Christian.
